Welcome to the 2017-2018 School Year! The Heather Hills Elementary School (HHES) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is pleased to kick-off this school year with fun, educational family events that will engage students in active learning and critical thinking while making memories that will last a lifetime. The HHES PTO is dedicated to enriching students’ academic experiences through encouraging children to reach their highest potential and building partnerships with teachers and administrators.
The desire of the HHES PTO is to see our students become motivated and responsible citizens of their school, their community, their country and their world.
The mission of the HHES PTO is to collaborate with the administration, teachers, staff, students, and their parents to provide educational and social experiences that will challenge the students, inspire them and provide encouragement as they grow.
Sponsor activities that give the children at HHES the opportunity to maximize their educational potential, develop long lasting peer relationships (outside the classroom), create success, and provide recognition.
Facilitate stronger partnerships within the school community (administrators, educators, students and parents)
Be a resource to benefit the entire school population.
History of HHES PTO
The HHES PTO was established for the purpose of supporting the education of children at Heather Hills Elementary School by fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers. Initially, the organization served as a Parent Teacher Association. In 2004, parents reorganized and now the group is part of the Parent Teacher Organization.
HHES PTO sponsors a variety of school events. Below is a list highlighting a few of our contributions. This year, we plan to continue to build upon past successes. Please refer to the HHES PTO calendar for information on future events.
